Access Log Manager
What's the objective of the Access Log Manager? What kind of information will it supply you with?
An access log features a record of all the files that have been requested by the visitors while exploring your site. The list is detailed, so if you have a page with two embedded images, for example, all of the three files will be in the log, not only the page. An access log usually includes the date, the OS, the Internet browser and the IP address for each and every file in human-readable form, so you can get an idea about the most popular files on your site. The log, which is also often referred to as "raw data", is an addition to the web stats that you normally get with a hosting account, not a substitute. A good example why you may require this sort of a log is if you intend to use some software on your computer to prepare a report about the website’s general performance, but you don't want to use the conventional graphs and tables that come with the server-generated web stats.

Access Log Manager in Shared Hosting
When you obtain a
shared hosting from us, you will be able to choose if access logs should be created and for which domains or subdomains in your account this should be done. You could activate this feature from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, incorporated with all shared accounts. Any
domain name you host or subdomain you create will be listed there and you see an On/Off option next to each one of them, so you can conveniently activate or disable the generation of access logs individually for every site that you have. You may save a log to your PC by clicking on the Download link that you shall see in the same section of the Control Panel. The link is available even if you stop the log generation, so you will still have access to the data gathered by our system.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you host your sites in a
semi-dedicated server account with our company, you will have the option to activate or disable the generation of access logs with just a few mouse clicks from your Hepsia hosting CP. You'll find this function within the Access/Error Logs section, which you can access when you sign in. All it takes for our system to start producing logs is a click on the On button you'll see there. The function can be triggered separately for any site no matter if it uses a domain name or a subdomain and you shall find the full list of all the hosts inside that section. Any access log can be downloaded as a text file with only a click and you may then see it manually or use some software on your laptop or computer. The log generation could be deactivated by simply changing the On option to Off inside the Logs section of your CP.
